  其他field 既工程唔太清楚, 但自己做電子的
  香港engineer 搞low tech 野多, 點解要恨外國咁高人工, 做黎做去做下電話, 電腦周邊產品, 耳機?
  搵兩三萬交一年交一萬蚊稅,唔錯丫, annual salary after tax = around HKD250K
  
  歐美d engineer, low tech 果d 己經抄左唔少, outsource 去亞洲做,
  搞high tech 果班, 真係精英, 搵5,6餅港紙一個月,但抽稅3~4成,  annaul salary after tax = around HKD 400K
  
  人地真係勁, 香港唔使硬要羨慕人地喎

  Well seems I am one of the more senior people in this thread. I would say that in HK civil engineer are not as specifized than those overseas. I can tell you us Chinese kicks butt in the construction and design industry in the US. We help our companies build, design and run the construction for all kinda of big projects like bridges, waste water treatment plant and power plants.
  
  I am not saying engineers in the US are better. Just than HK and Chinese government does not provide the creative field and resource for you guys to shine. Say for example, how many structures in the Olympics were design by the Chinese. The Zhin Ma bridge was built by Korean Engineers. Why gave away money to other people when there are plenty of great people in HK and China ?  Not only that , company that I am working for (one of the large company in the UK) built the HK Airport, they made a lot of money from the HK Government. Why not give it to the locals ? Bow-Tie and Wu Gin Tau can suck my wennie !!!

  technician 冇錯拎起工具比Engineer 叻,你日日都拎, 而且工作又係只需要用呢d 工具
  但自己就唔知道你唔識既野比人多
  如果你真係認為自己好叻既話, 繼續做好你份工

  串一下本行傲慢既technician:
  係U 度冇人會未試過用"辣雞"
  唔係唔識用, 用得冇technician 咁熟係事實, 冇你我都做到野
  但如果你地以為自己ja 得一手好"辣雞"以自豪, 請ja 穩d
  你份工好易比人替代
  
  最後我發覺唔應該點醒你地, 你地繼續傲慢能使我們地位更穩陣

  Total working experience : 4 to 5 ( only 2 + years on my current industry)
  
  1st job 38000 USD/year only work for 2 months
  2nd job 42000 USD/year, worked for almost 2 years. Salary was 48000USD /year when I left.
  
  3rd and current job 70000 USD/year, started 2+ years ago and my salary was around 63000 USD/year
  
  Oh yea, and dont forget the 32% salary tax T.T.....
  
  I am planning to get my MBA in the top 20 schools in the US.... engineering does not interest me anymore ...

  多謝各位幫我下決定, 我畢業後都係留起澳洲
  無歧義 (你地無交學費比外國大學, 成本低), 只係15000-20000一個月 ???對幫我交緊學費既父母係一種侮辱
  
  btw, 好讚同之前某某寫英文既人兄話起外國有專業工程師學會幫工程師維持專業形象, 確保佢地唔會underpaid
  如果香港既工程師都能受保護, 就唔會出現一d "專業wor..." 既人, 都唔會一大班人怨氣沸騰, 上黎論壇嚇你地既下一代.....
  
  我對工程業有展望同尊敬, 因為工程師係打造你地住緊既都市, 起生活各層面幫你地排難解困既專業人仕, 唔係比人"專業wor..."同埋用低薪demand低等理由剝削既, 佢地值得更多
  
  咁樣, 我都係留番起一個會尊重番我既專業既都市, 縱使要同親友相隔幾千里...都叫香港不留人
